Hunting fev-vers 2

I've posted some pictures before of LT hunting fev-vers. He still loves his fev-vers. You can also see how much he has grown.

Oh, you just have to love that spotty tummy!

Blogging with LT

Since LT is only going to be with us for another week before he goes to his forever home with Merlin, we are going to let him hog the blog for the next week.
Bubbles received his Secret Paws from Oreo and Mrs. B hers from Edsel. We will post pictures after LT left, when the 2 Bs have their blog back.

So get ready for a LT overdose for the next week!

Living with LT

The 2 Bs and LT have settled into a routine now. LT basically has 2 speeds - crazy and sleepy. When he is crazy, poor Bubbles gets pounced on all the time. Mrs. B has put a stop to the constant pestering with a few well aimed smacks. They still play, but when Mrs. B has had enough, she just gives him a good whack and that is the end of it.

Bubbles on the other hand, is way too nice. LT is facinated by Bubbles. He follows him around everywhere and pouces on him at every opertunity (to Bubbles's consternation).

LT also wants to snuggle with Bubbles, but at the moment Bubbles does not want LT to touch him when sleeping. They sleep together on the bed with me. Bubbles doesn't mind, as long as LT does not try to touch him.

At the moment I'm planning to take LT to his new home with Merlin on January 6.

Merry Christmas

Everybody's blogs look so nice and festive that we decided to post a pictures of our (tiny) christmas tree and a few gifts today. You can also see Bubbles's secret paws from Oreo! I think you might also recognize some of the kitties on the Christmas cards.
Here is a picture of Bubbles from a few years ago. This is as close as we can get to a cat with a Christmas hat.

We are not sure how much time we will have in the next few days to post and visit blogs, so Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everycat and all the beans.

Snuggling with Mom

LT- here. Since the big cats don't want to snuggle with me, I just have to snuggle with Mom all the time. She makes comfy snuggle spots.

Wacky Wednesday

And here is the picture I was trying to take, of Bubbles and LT sleeping together on the couch. Bubbles has no problem with LT as long as LT does not try to pounce in him (LT tries to pounce on him all the time). They both sleep on the bed with me at night. However, not touching.

Tuxie Tuesday

Midnight Monday

No, I did not get another cat! This is Woody, who lives on one of the experimental farms on campus. He is very sweet and as you can see he is well looked after and has his own A-frame house. He even has a heart-shaped tag on his collar that says "Woody - the horticulture cat". All courtesy of the nice people at the Department of Horticulture.

Hungry Mrs. B?

Mom: Hi Beeezwax. What are you doing outside?
Mrs. B: Moooommmm, can I please have some?
Mom: Some what?
Mrs. B: You know. Some of that most delicious kitten food.
Mom: No, you know it gives you the squirts.
Mrs. B: But Mom it is so delicious, it's worth it.
Mom: No Mrs. B. No kitten food. And don't think I don't know that you steal his food at night. Through the bars of his jail!
Mrs. B: Well, I gotta run in any case. Thinks - "Goodness, where is the closest litter box?"

UPDATE: Here is a Widebody Wednesday picture to put everybody's mind at ease that Mrs. B is still plenty widebody.

LT's 1 Month Gotcha Day!

Mombean says that today is 1 month since I came to live with her. I'm not sure what a month is, but I do remember that I did not always live here. I used to live with my Momcat and Little Black One. I miss them. But Mombean says that Momcat will always be with me because I have a little white spot on my chest just like her! She wasn't all stripey like me, but all grey, with her little white spot. Here is a baby picture of me, where you can see my Mom-spot.

I am MUCH bigger now and Mombean says I walk around the apartment as if I own it. I love chasing the fat cat around. *laughs* Sometimes she gets angry and whaps he real hard on the head. But I just keep coming.

I also LOVE playing in my red cube. Mom says I get "the crazies" and then everybody has to watch out. I've learned to roll my cube around the apartment. The other day I rolled right over the fat cat. Here are some action shots of me in the cube and everybody else trying to sleep.

But I'm don't always have "the crazies". In my calmer moments I love to snuggle with Mombean. I just want to lie on top of her all the time. And I like following her wherever she goes. Mom says I'm just a little sweetheart. She says I have a tiny meow but a big purr.

I'm still trying to play with the skinny cat, but he does not want anyting to do with me. Mombean says he just wants to be left alone. I guess that's OK. I can always chase the fat cat! I'm going to go snuggle with Mombean now.

Mombean here. I can hardly believe it is 1 month already. According to the vet he is also 3 months old today. I've continued to look for Momcat and Little Black One. I've seen Momcat a few times but she was far away and doesn't come to eat the food I put out for her anymore. I'm putting food out a little closer to where I saw her now, and I think she is eating it (well, somebody is eating it). I haven't seen Little Black One since the day the den was distroyed. I hope he is OK.

Formerly Feral Friday - Bubbles and the Outdoors

Bubbles LOVES the outdoors. Allthough he is very happy to have a safe, warm place to take a nap, he wants to go outside all the time. In the summer he sleeps most of the day and then goes outside as soon as it gets dark. Now that it is winter he spends most of the nightime inside and goes out as soon as he can find a sunny spot to sit in. He has this specific spot where he likes to roll around in the dust and powder himself. He especially likes it if I go outside with him and scratch his tummy while he rolls around.
If it was up to him he would spend most of his time outside, but I limit the time he is allowed to roam around. He gives me the most pitiful wails to be let out, but I try to be strong (OK, most of the time I give in). When he was a conehead, he got very depressed when I kept him inside. After about 3 days I could not take his wailing and pitiful looks anymore and let him go out (supervised of course). He perked right up and from then on he adapted to the cone much better.

Mom: OK Bubbles time to go inside. Are you ready?
Bubbles: Do I look ready?
Mom: Come on Little Man, soon it will get cold out here.
Bubbles: Is the the Little Terror gone?
Mom: No Bubbles, LT is still here. And his name is Little Tabby, not Little Terror.
Bubbles: Grrrfffft. Well, I'm not coming in until he's gone!

Mom: Oh Bubbles, do you have to make things so difficult?
Bubbles: As a matter of fact, YES.
Mom: *sigh* OK, I guess you can stay outside a little longer.
Bubbles: Mooooommmm! I can't believe you are leaving me out here in the cold!

Living with LT

Mrs. B is trying to get her Temptations from the treatball, while LT is supervising. Bubbles is just glad he found a spot LT can't reach.

Where is LT? Did you find him? What can he be looking at so intently?

Bubbles: See what I have to put up with?!
Mom! He's looking at me. Make him stop. Pleeeeeeeease!

Bubbles: MOM! *sigh* I've had enough. Let me out!

LT: My work is done here. Time for a nap.
