Scary Thursday

Madness here. Friends I'm lucky to be alive to blog today. The most horrible thing happened yesterday. This might be too scary for the real little ones, so maybe you want to stop them reading right now.

So, yesterday I was downstairs in the courtyard with Freak and Bubbles. It was totally OK, cause Freak said it was outside time and she was right there with us. Then suddenly I saw the most horrible monster running towards us! I ran back home as quick as a little girl cat can. (That means very, very fast.) But Freak and Bubbles did not make it! I heard Freak make weird noises. It sounded like laughing, but surely it was screams of terror. And when I looked into the courtyard from the safety of the window I saw that she was being eaten by the horrible monster! And Bubbles was right there - frozen in fear.

After what seemed like a very long time, the horrible monster left and somehow the freak survived. (I told you there was something weird about her.) Even Bubbles came through the ordeal without a scratch. I went out and asked why did they not run away? They laughed and said that it was only Gracie and she was a friendly woofie. I ask you: “Does this look like a friendly woofie?” Just look at those murderous brown eyes and ravenous mouth!

Bubbles said that it’s good to be careful around woofies, ‘cause some of them are not nice to cats, but that Gracie is a sweet doggie. But I think this is just another plan from Bubbles to get rid of me! Well Bubbles, I’m too smart for that! I’m not going near that monster.

Tuxie Tuesday

Here is Mrs. B, looking lovely as usual. She is watching Bubbles and Madness in the courtyard. She's thinking - Mfffffftt! Kids!

Oh, if you want to see more pictures of the farm in Africa go here. I also put a little badge in the sidebar to this link. These are just general pictures, no cats.

Big Man Cat Monday

This is Crinkle, my cat that lives with my parents on a farm in Africa. I don't know what he weighs, but he is huge. And a sweetheart.

Outside is Cool!

Madness here. I love "Outside". There are all kinds of interesting thingies out there. And I can pretend that I'm a real jungle cat.

I even climbed a tree yesterday. But the Freak came and grabbed me. Grrffftt!

Don't worry friends, I'm being supervised. Not only by the Freak, but also by Bubbles. If you look closely at this picture, you can see that even our friend John is supervising through the window.

And look what Bubbles did! So rude. I think he is the one that needs to be supervised.

Sometimes I sneak outside and then the Freak gets angry and makes it rain on me. She says that it is not Outside-time now. I think it sould be outside-time all the time! I sure hope I will learn when is outside-time soon, so it can stop raining on me!

Still Sad

Bubbles is still sad about his good friend Gizzy that went to the Bridge. Farewell Gizster.

Tuxie Tuesday

I thought it was high time that I post a picture of Mrs. B again. With Bubbles's wound and Madness, well being Madness, poor Mrs. B is feeling neglected.

Busy Week

We haven't posted for a while. Things are busy at work. We've had a pretty eventful week at home too. First, Madness wants me to say that none of it was her fault. And this time she is right.

Last Friday Bubbles did not come home at his usual time, so I went out to look for him. He often hangs out in the open field behind our apartment, so I went looking for him there. Naturally I stepped into a hole and sprained my ankle very badly. So there I was, hopping on one leg calling: Bubbles! Bubbles! Like a crazy person. I was more than a little surprised that nobody showed up in white coats with a straitjacket. Eventually Bubbles showed up and it was obvious that he got into a fight (again).

His wounds did not look bad. Over the weekend, I was the one hopping around everywhere on an ankle that was now the size of a tennis ball. By Monday I could walk around reasonably well, but now Bubbles was limping and had a swollen front leg.

So on Tuesday I took Bubbles to the vet and he gave us some antibiotics. On Wednesday Bubbles was not doing well at all and by the evening I could see that an abscess has formed in his leg, so we went back to the vet on Thursday. They drained the abscess and cleaned it. Bubbles was a very good boy (as usual) so they could do it without giving him anesthesia. Today he is doing much better. I have to take him back next week for a checkup.

Here is a picture of his leg. It is kinda gross so you might not want to look if you just had dinner. Even though it looks bad, he is fine and it should heal well given some time.

Right now he is hanging out in the courtyard as if nothing is wrong with him at all.

Madness and Mrs. B are doing fine. Madness just keeps saying to make sure everycat knows that this was not her fault. My ankle is now sickly shades of blue and yellow, but is also continuing to improve. So hopefully we will all be back on our feet soon.

Oh, our downstairs neighbor John now has a Catster page. He is an indoor kitty, but is always watching us through the window and chatting with us. Bubbles thinks he would make a great brother for Madness, but then Bubbles thinks everycat would be a good brother for Madness as long as it is not him. Go say hi to John, he is a cutie.
