Bubbles - The conclusion

The histopathology confirmed that Bubbles has lymphoma. There are not many treatment options. Chemo can be done but I've decided against it. There is no cure and I have decided to concentrate on making whatever time he has left as pleasant as possible. Towards that end we will try some medication to make his breathing easier and alleviate his symptoms. At best it will give him a few additional weeks/months of quality time.

He is still eating very well, and enjoys getting as many Temptations as he wants. And he wants a lot!

We are so sorry to hear this news. We think you are doing the right thing not to do the chemo. Our Mom believes that the quality of life is so important and it is so great for him to have some quality right now. We will keep our paws crossed for him and are sending tons of purrs and prayers. Hugs to the Mom.

We're so sorry that the news is not good. We think you are doing what is for Bubbles' Highest Good by NOT putting him through horrendous treatments, allowing him quality of life while he still has it, then letting him go.

Sending you all purrs and Blessings and Peace.

yes, quality of life is important to keep in mind. the fact that he is eating well (especially temptations) and is content is good. of course there will be good days and bad days. we will keep bubbles and you on our prayer list.

We are so sorry to read of this diagnosis.

We wonder f it would be helpful to contact San of the blog Cat Tales in Singapore. Her cat, Megat, was diagnosed with Lymphoma and she managed to cure him with a combination of chemo and Chinese herbal medicine, under the supervision of her vet. Her regular blog is at http://animesanzo.blogspot.com/ and the blog outlining Megat's journey to health is at http://megatmycat.blogspot.com/

So sorry to hear about Bubbles diagnosis. We will be sending purrs your way. It is hard knowing what to do in a situation like this, but for what it's worth I believe you are making the best decision for you and Bubbles. We went the no treatment route with Mojo and his Fibrosarcoma and I don't regret a thing. He had several good months to just enjoy being a cat instead of a guinea pig :) I am always thankful for the time I had with him. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Keeping Bubbles happy is the best thing you can do. That's what we did when the vet found the large tumor in Bebe's liver. He got to eat anything he wanted at any time. Sending hugs and purrayers from the kitties in Hawaii.

OK, just going back through your posts and getting caught up. My heart goes out to you, having fought this battle with Rascal. We did chemo the first time, but when he lost his remission, decided the next type of chemo treatments would be worse than the disease. We don't regret that and still miss him. Purrs and prayers from us to you and Bubbles.
