Gourmet Kitty Salad

Mrs. B loves to eat grass, but I'm a bit lazy to plant the grass. I usually just buy that grass you plant yourself from Walmart. But that grass always looks a little sad to me.

So now I have decided to buy some grass, Katnip and Kat Mint and try and grow some for Mrs. B on the windowsill. I don't exactly have green thumbs, although I work with plants everyday (that's a whole other story!). Well, we'll see how it goes. Hopefully Mrs. B will soon have some nice greens to gnaw on.

Hi Cecilia! Thanks for visiting my blog. My Uncle Greg bought me that grass once and it was delicious!

I wanted to stop by and thank you for telling me I am handsome. I am sure you are a pretty lady yourself and I would like to sit on your lap, if you know what I mean. I am also very confident in my masculinity, like you said. I have a pink hoodie that I wear a lot. But I would never cuddle with my bunny while wearing my pink hoodie, because that might be overkill.

I hope Mrs. B likes the grass! Maybe she would want to sniff nip with me sometime.

Momma quite with the grass because Mittens would get all crazyfied and tear it out by the roots!

Momma wonders what you mean by you work with plants. She said that would be a wonderful job, especially if it was flowers.

The kitties love the catnip grass! I however am undecided considering I have to clean up after they dug it up and spread the dirt around - everywhere. :)

I bought some kitty grass from PetsMart...Yes expensive! And the only one who tried it at all was Benji Boo! He usually chewed on it everyday, but Emma and Marley could've cared less! It died after only a week too!! Arghh! I watered it like it said. :( Was thinking of trying the cat mint or catnip itself. I heard cat nip was hard to grow though.

Mom tried to grow catgrass from seeds and I dug the dirt out of the pot. Then she bought me an already grown pot at the pet store. I loved it and chomped it all the time until it died! But I was the only one who ate it.

Love,
Tipper

Patches & Mittens's Mom - Unfortuanately I don't work with pretty flowers, but with sweetpotatoes. Yes, I know, not very glamorous. And working in the greenhouse, in Louisiana in the summer (about 120F) is not fun.

I think it's awesome how ambitious you are. I don't think my human pet would even so much as consider doing something like this because she has a horribly black thumb. I hope it works out!

Yum. Cats love grass and greens. And since grass and greens are vegetables Mrs. B can have all she wants on her d-i-e-t, can't she?

Hi Cecilia, I checked Kismet out and yes, it looks like he can join the FB club. Another one that looks similar to Casper.

I bought some of that grass one time in a grocery store and as Kat's it died within a week. The cats just have to chew on the grass in their play yard. And as a comment above don't like it when they barf it up. Gizmo is number one in that kind of act.

Just checked Casper's site and thank you for the comment. It's going to be hard on me to move also. We have been at this place for 28 years and I love all the trees around our place. But since my husband had the trouble with his heart we have to get a place where there isn't as much work as this place calls for. Thanks again for wishing us luck.

I love grass. Mommy always puts it in the fridge or sprinkles cold water on it. I love it chilled.
