Bubbles and Madness are not feral anymore, but they still like to play outside. Of course when Bubbles goes outside, then Madness follows him around.

Does this look like a wild feral cat? Who likes to fight with every other cat he sees?

Surely a name like Madness is not fitting?

Cat Rescue (kind of)

OK, so after Dobby and Madness I promised myself I'm not going to get involved in rescuing any more cats. Yea well.. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt!

Soooo... About 3 weeks ago I started seeing a cat around our apartment block hopping on 3 legs. It seemed he could not put any weight on his one front leg. He seemed pretty wild and I wasn't sure whether he was a stray or really feral. I felt sorry for him, but I absolutely cannot take in another cat! I just kept repeating: "You can't save every cat. You can't save every cat."

But, of course I also could not stand that he/she was in pain, an not try to help. So I got a trap from the lady that helped me before, and actually got him trapped on the first attempt. His left leg is swollen, but I cannot make out whether it is broken.

So this morning I took him to the vet. And it was good news. His leg is not broken. He does have a severe abscess. They treated the abscess and also neutered him.

So this evening I will set him free again. I wish I could find him a home, but he seem to be quite wild and I just don't have a place to keep a semi-feral cat for any length of time. He and Bubbles have gotten into several bad fights, so there is no chance that I can keep him in my apartment. Not to mention that my landlord will probably kick me out!

He is a beautiful cat. Well, at least he has been treated, neutered and got his shots. I feel I've done what I could with my resources.

Quilt Thief

Madness has decided that Bubbles's Gizzy Quilt is now hers. Just look at her! The little thief.


And Bubbles loved napping on his quilt.

So I've relented and Madness is getting her very own Gizzy Quilt. She is very excited! OK, and she wants me to play with her now. *sigh*

I guess sometimes crime does pay.

Rolling in the sand

Hello everybody. We are all doing fine here. We are having unseasonably warm weather in Louisiana. Madness and Bubbles like to roll outside in the sand every day and get themselves full of dust! Madness is just so cute. Just look at the bit of white fluff on her tummy!


Bubbles is also just chilling out and enjoying the weather. He really doesn't like cold weather and he HATES rain. I don't know how he survived so long outside.

Mrs. B is relaxing in her cat-cup and pretending that it is indeed cold. Just look how cozy she looks. And it's 80 degrees!


Well, as you can see, we are all doing fine. Since I have a few days off from work around Christmas, I'll try to post more around that time.

I'm not Dead

Hello internets. I hope these pictures did not scare you friends. I'm not dead. Just relaxing. I'm sorry we don't blog much anymore. It's all Moms fault, so berate her.

We are all doing fine. And we still DO read your blogs. Mom is just very busy and she doesn't have time to comment and blog much. I'm having lost of fun and am a very happy teencat at the moment. I get to go out, but I have to wear a noose with Moms phone number on it. I don't know why, cause as soon as Mom calls I come chirping and running to her. Me and Bubbles go hunting every night. I've only caught one mouse (plenty of lizzies thought), but Bubbles catches a mouse or rat nearly every night. Me and Bubbles are buddies now.

OK, internets, I'm going to try to get Mom to let us blog a little bit more often. Love you all!

It's my Birthday!

Hello all. It's me Madness. And today I'm one whole year old! Can you believe that! And so is my brother Dobby!

OK, so we don't know exactly what day we were born, but the vet said it was one year ago today, so I'm sticking to my story.

Well, we are still all doing well. Me and Bubbles like hanging our in the courtyard and I hide under this big plant and plan attacks on all the lizzies that live around there. Bubbles catches lots of mice and sometimes he even lets me play with them. Mrs. B is also fine. She stays inside and plans attacks on my food bowl.

Well, it was nice to chat with you all again. We wish Mom would update more often, but she is just too lazy (oh sorry "busy"). Bye for now.

We are still here

Mom here. I'm so sorry that I'm so hopeless with blogging lately. I'm in Scottsdale, AZ at the moment at a scientific conference. I'll be back home with The 2Bs and Madness on Friday evening. I'll be home for one week and then leave for another conference in San Diego the next week. So things are a little crazy at the moment.

Madness and the 2 Bs are doing fine. Madness is growing so fast, she is nearly as big as Bubbles! And I'm sure Mrs. B is glad I'm away, cause she gets more food when I'm gone.
